keeping an eye on the Oil & Gas fat cats...

Who is O.G. Watchdog?

The paradox of asking an anonymous blogger who they are...

Our Origin Story

As you may have guessed, this blog is not written by a giant black lab in a trench coat... if you hadn't, here's the reveal: there a person writing this blog, based in Houston, Tx, the heart of the oil and gas industry. We have first hand experience with this industry and the tough and capable individuals that work these job sites. These companies make billions of dollars off the backs of workers, but when accidents happen, they're quick to dump the blame on those same backs. When these companies make a mistake, people get hurt, communities are damaged, lives are ruined, yet they only pay meager fines or they skip the bill altogether.

After hearing the same stories time and time again, we have had ENOUGH. So we gathered, organized, formalized, and created a way to report what was happening behind the press releases in the oil industry. OG Watchdog was formed as an anonymous organization committed to holding oil and gas companies accountable for their failures. Join our mission and hold the fat cats accountable!

This project is maintained by a small editorial team with support from community safety advocates and legal professionals who believe transparency is the first step to accountability. We do not sell ads or accept outside sponsorships. If you are seeking legal assistance, we recommend working with attorneys who understand the risks oil and gas workers face.
